Somewhere near 36000 steps, some strong coffees, a few vinos and 3 days at the Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair was a blast. An opportunity to bump into old colleagues, friends, business partners and customers, a productive yet tiring 3 days.
So what was trending at Stockholm Furniture fair?
There was a strong consistency of earthy colours being used across the stands and the products, and plenty of biophilic design, we saw lots of textures and a mix of fabrics being used on products. In fact, I think fabric design and patterns, in general, were the stars of the show. There was so much bringing the outdoors in, that I’m surprised some of the furniture didn’t just walk off and I’m fairly sure we saw some rather clever upcycling of George and Bungle from Rainbow.
New products from Jonas Ihreborn
In addition to seeing what everyone else might be up to the world of furniture, we visited Stockholm to meet with one of our factory partners Jonas Ihreborn. Who launched 3 new products to some already fab ranges.
Blob Mini
Meet Blob Mini, which really says exactly what it is in the name. Blob Mini is a small modular sofa with similar characteristics and style to the big Blob. With a higher seat and smaller footprint, this increases the possibilities and versatility of an already excellent product.
Cosmo Bar
The Cosmo bar height table and Cosmo bar stool join the family of Cosmo chairs and tables. The Cosmo bar lends itself for customisation with hanging plants and corded lights.
Seventy-Five Sofa
The already gorgeous popular and really comfortable Seventy-Five armchair is now available in a 3-person sofa, which just looks the dogs. And in this set up with two armchairs and the matching seventy coffee table, Its not hard to imagine in any reception or informal meeting space.
